A Picnic For Two

Bark tastes good...

Zach enjoying his new favorite book from Aunt Kelley: That's Not My Pirate!

It was so gorgeous today and Zach and I decided to take advantage of the last few days before the cold. We packed lunch up and lots of books and strolled over to our lake for lunch. As we sat eating I kept thinking that I should have been doing this for months. Zach loved watching the kayaks and the geese on the water. I looked at our beautiful neighborhood, my perfect little boy and had one of those "I am going to start crying because life is so good" moments. The only thing that could have made it more idyllic would have been the addition of my handsome husband. We miss you daddy!

Our Favorite boy turns 9 months!

Zach loves to move everywhere, but prefers the military crawl. He doesn't quite understand that it would be easier on hands and knees.
Another favorite pastime. He looks out the window and tries to say "hi."
He sits in this for about 10 minutes max now. Just enough time for Mommy to start to do some work.
Then I let him out of the exersaucer and he gets to do much more fun things, including pulling out all of the office recycling. Notice the nice "crack" shot!
If you look closely and can see his neck brace. He hates it, but will tolerate it, especially if a snack and sippy cup are offered. The physical therapist says his neck has improved quite a bit and we now only have to go once a month. Crawling and pulling up on things has helped to strengthen his week left side.
